Veterinarian Overview
Dr. Michele Eckermann, a native of Winfield, KS, graduated from the University of Nebraska at Omaha in 1994 with a BS in Biology before attending Kansas State University College of Veterinary Medicine. She graduated in 1998 and moved to Harlan, IA with her husband, Jason. Dr. Michele was a partner at Harlan Veterinary Associates and practiced mixed animal medicine for 7 years. The practice then converted to a small animal exclusive clinic where her special interests included dentistry, soft tissue surgery and preventive medicine. In 2013, Dr. Michele sold her practice to pursue a certification in canine rehabilitation therapy from the Canine Rehabilitation Institute. Dr. Michele joined Five Elements as the rehabilitation therapist in the summer of 2015 and was certified in 2016 in Animal Chiropractic through Options for Animals. She and Jason have 2 active children and 2 spoiled dogs.
