Veterinarian Overview
After graduating at the top of her class from Oklahoma State College of Veterinary Medicine, Dr. Coleman operated her own full service veterinary hospital in Stillwater for 28 years. Throughout her career, Dr. Coleman has continued to explore the world of animal medicine by seeking out hands-on experiences that help her grow and evolve as a health care provider. In 2001, she traveled to the remote island of Borneo to work with orphaned orangutans at the Orangutan Foundation. Learn more about the amazing work they do: https://orangutan.org/ Over the years, Becky became increasingly concerned about the serious side effects associated with many popular drugs. She also felt the need to learn more about alternative treatments that would be successful for chronic diseases and pain management. These concerns naturally led her to explore holistic alternatives. She is certified by the International Veterinary Acupuncture Association and has been performing acupuncture since 1990. Becky studied homeopathy with Dr. Richard Pitcairn and in 1996, completed both the basic and advanced professional courses. Dr. Coleman went on to train in the field of animal chiropractic through Dr. Sharon Willoughbys program, Options for Animals. In 2002, she received her certification from the American Veterinary Chiropractic Association. Dr. Coleman relocated to Wilmington in April, 2015 and is now accepting new patients.
