Veterinarian Overview
Dr. Bud Keller earned his DVM degree from the Virginia-Maryland Regional College of Veterinary Medicine in 1985 and then completed a 14 month internship at the world recognized Angell Memorial Animal Hospital in Boston, Mass. He spent a year in family small animal practice before entering a 3 year surgery residency program at the University of Georgia College of Veterinary Medicine. In 1994 Dr. Keller earned his American College of Veterinary Surgeons (ACVS) certification. After 14 years of surgical practice experience in the Columbia, SC area, he founded a new practice, the Carolina Surgical Care for Animals, LLC. Three years later he relocated to the Raleigh and joined the VSRP surgical team. He enjoys all areas of surgical practice, but is particularly interested in joint disorders, trauma orthopedics and reconstructive techniques. Dr. Kellers practice philosophy is one patient at a time. He offers your pet detail oriented, compassionate creative care guided by extensive training and experience. In his spare time Dr. Keller enjoys scuba diving, riding his Harley-Davidson motorcycle, playing tennis and spending time with his son.
