Veterinarian Overview
Dr. Schaller has lived in Pennsylvania, Florida, and Wisconsin, but calls North Carolina home. It was 2002 when she and her family, husband Bret and two oldest sons Synjyn and Sevryn, first arrived in Sanford. It didnt take long for them to realize they had found their home. Later Stratton and Reichen, two more boys, were born right here at CCH. Dr. Schaller graduated from University of FloridaGainesville with a degree in behavioral psychology. She then graduated in the top of her class from the University of WisconsinMadison with her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine. With experience from several emergency only hospitals and day practices, and volunteer work for the Dane County Humane Society, Dr. Schaller joined a practice here in Sanford. She worked as an associate doctor for 5½ years before opening Willow Creek Animal Hospital in May of 2008. Along the way, she served two terms as President of Carolina Animal Rescue and Adoption. Currently she is the Lee County Board of Health Chairperson and also serves on the board of advisors for the Lee County American Red Cross. Dr. Schaller and her husband Bret both donate time to the Sanford community through career day presentations at the area schools, speaking for service clubs, instructing the Red Cross Pet First Aid Class, and hosting an intro to veterinary medicine program. The Schaller family is blessed to share their lives with the wonderful furry family members pictured below. It seems like a lot but often theres never a convenient time to rescue a friend in need. We are the fortunate ones to have them in our life.
