Veterinarian Overview
Dr. Laurel Williams received her veterinary degree from the University of Minnesota. She completed a small animal internship at Purdue University and an oncology residency at Tufts University. She followed this with a research fellowship in molecular biology at the University of Minnesota. Dr. Williams was Professor of Oncology and on the faculty of North Carolina State University's College of Veterinary Medicine from 1998-2013 before joining VSH; she remains an Adjunct Professor. She has authored/co-authored 30+ publications in peer-reviewed scientific journals, written 15+ book chapters and delivered more than 120 invited lectures at local, state, regional, national and international meetings. Dr. Williams has particular background and interest in lymphoma/leukemia, osteosarcoma and novel treatment strategies.
