Veterinarian Overview
Benjamin Gage Furtado is a recent arrival in the Hickory area after moving here with his family in early 2012. Dr Furtado is a graduate of Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine and performed his clinical at the University of Florida college of Veterinary Medicine. After graduation Dr. Furtado worked as the over night emergency veterinarian in a busy Critical Care and Neurology clinic in Sarasota, Florida. This opportunity allowed him to work closely with and learn from a board certified specialist in Neurology, Surgery and critical care Medicine. His veterinary interest includes preventative medicine, neurology, critical care medicine, and endocrine disorders. He lives in Hickory with his wife Mary, his 2 sons Quinn and Max their 2 cats Morpheus and Roscoe P Coltrane.
