Veterinarian Overview
Dr. Warren Moretz, DVM (Dr. Mo, Uncle Warren) opened Village Animal Hospital in May 2000. Growing up on a small dairy/beef farm he grew to love and respect animals at an early age. As an undergraduate he attended Appalachian State, majoring in biology with a minor in chemistry and education. He graduated magma cum laude in 1977 from the University of Georgia. Working mainly in Tennessee and North Carolina he opened the doors of Village Animal Hospital in May 2000. Currently living in Mooresville with his wife Greta and a rescue Tri-Paw, and a Black lab named Blake from Lucky Labs Rescue. He rescued a beautiful cat named Kahlua that is also a Tri-pawed. His newest addition Stella was adopted from Jesse's Place Rescue. They have 3 children and have been blessed with 3 grand-daughters, a grandson and 2 grand dogs. Dr. Moretz enjoys gardening and the outdoors. Trips to the mountains and the beach and to the buffet line are also enjoyed, it has been said that he loves talking so much that his staff has to pull him out of an exam room. Dr. Moretz loves his job and can't spell the word retirement.
