This person failed to appropriately assess my dogs lab tests. I was not able to wait for lab test because the analyzer was not operating during the time of my appointment. I asked for the lab tests because I thought my dog was losing weight rapidly for no obvious reason. This person kept telling me that the dog was just no longer overweight. After I left that appointment, she did call later to advise that the labs were ok and to just continue to monitor. Not long after that, as I watched my dog withering away, I decided that I would drive the 30 minutes to my old vet; he had moved a couple years before. As soon as he started the exam, he told me my little girl had a softball size tumor in her abdominal cavity and he need to X-ray to assess for metastasis. It was too late! Cancer in lungs! After the diagnosis and upon my request to see the lab report that ms Brinson not to worry about; the truth became clear. My dog had 2 specific lab values that are indicative of cancer. I attempted to contact her and of course she lied about when she called about the labs; and she refused to speak with me! She told her lies through the staff. I can’t believe she still practices vet Med. I have dogs all of my life and due to military transfers I’ve had many vets. Ms Brinson is the worst vet by far! It may have been better had she just admitted to making a mistake. It’s been 4 years and I am still upset about this.
