Veterinarian Overview
Growing up in rural Pennsylvania, I was one of those little girls who always wanted to be a vet - and reading the James Herriot books didnt help! I took the long road though, getting a degree in English at Haverford College and working in publishing in New Jersey before moving to North Carolina for a Masters in Geology at Duke. Eventually I decided to return to my first love, so I got a job as a veterinary assistant and went back to school to take all the classes I needed to apply to vet school. We are lucky to have one of the best veterinary colleges in the country here in the Triangle and I was honored to graduate from NCSU College of Veterinary Medicine in 2012. Alongside our team, I strive to provide excellent and compassionate care for my patients. I enjoy dentistry and also have a special place in my heart for senior and geriatric pets, who deserve a focus on their comfort as well as their medical care as they age. At home, my little menagerie includes Sasha the chow/golden mix, Tiger the tabby cat, Ursula the budgie, and Rocket the guinea pig. I love to read, hike, and camp, and I'm trying to learn some tennis.
