Veterinarian Overview
Dr. Peggy Sayer is originally from New Mexico and attended veterinary school at Virginia-Maryland Regional College of Veterinary Medicine, graduating in 2002. She completed an internship at the Animal Medical Center in New York in 2003 and a cardiology residency at North Carolina State University College of Veterinary Medicine in Raleigh, NC in 2006. Dr. Sayer has been honored with multiple awards for service and teaching during her tenure at the Animal Medical Center and North Carolina State University. Her research focused on the effect of the drug pimobendan on the rennin angiotensin system and has served as an investigator in several large multicenter clinical trials. Dr. Sayer has provided cardiology services in the Charlotte market since 2006.
