Veterinarian Overview
Dr. Jodi Reed graduated from University of Florida College of Veterinary Medicine in 2001. After completing a rigorous internship in veterinary medicine, surgery and critical care in West Los Angeles, she practiced in Redondo Beach, CA for a year, before moving to Apex in 2003. After practicing for eight years and working at several different clinics she dreamed of owning her own animal hospital
which is now a reality! We opened Harmony Animal Hospital in May 2009. Dr. Jodi loves every aspect of being a general practitioner for cats and dogs. Her special interests are soft tissue surgery, as well as, routine and advanced dentistry. Her focus is on keeping your pets happy and healthy. However, when unforeseen illnesses and injuries occur, Dr. Jodi and her experienced, caring staff will treat your pets as if they were our own. Dr Jodi is involved in many veterinary related organizations, including American Veterinary Dental Society (AVDS), North Carolina Veterinary Medical Association (NCVMA), American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA), North Carolina Academy of Small Animal Medicine (NCASAM), and Wake County Veterinary Association. It is through these organizations that Dr. Jodi is able to keep up with the latest in veterinary medicine and attend cutting edge conferences and continuing education seminars. In her personal time, Dr. Jodi loves spending time with her family: husband Jason, daughters Kayla, Olivia, and Sophia and her four legged babies. She has two dogs, Cash (Yellow Lab) and Hank (Golden Mix), as well as four cats Peeps, Kalulu, Rocket and Whisper. Her favorite hobbies are scuba diving, photography, and training for sprint triathlons. She works with several pet rescue organizations and thoroughly enjoys seeing animals who have had a hard life restored to health and placed into a loving forever home. She also enjoys speaking to kids from preschool to high school about being a veterinarian. Her dog Cash often accompanies her on these little talks -which is always a big hit!
