Veterinarian Overview
Dr. Johnston graduated from Michigan State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2009 and prior to that, in 2005, received her pre-vet bachelors of science degree with a minor in chemistry from the University of Findlay. Dr. Johnston moved to North Carolina In 2009 and with the help of several well-established small animal practitioners in Fayetteville transitioned from Equine medicine to Small Animal medicine. Her clinical interests include wound management, lameness evaluation and treatment, and soft tissue surgery. Dr. Johnston currently lives in the county with her husband and two dogs. She enjoys horseback riding and training ex-racehorses to be hunter/ jumper prospects. She also enjoys tennis, hiking, camping, arts/crafts, and traveling.
