Veterinarian Overview
Dr. Desiree Cooley is a native of the upstate of South Carolina. She grew up on a farm, played premiere soccer, and participated in Pony Club. As a young child, she showed compassion for animals and began a path toward a career in veterinary medicine. While working as a full-time veterinary technician, she received her B.S. in Animal and Veterinary Sciences from Clemson University in 2010. She then moved to Mississippi to attend Mississippi State Universitys College of Veterinary Medicine. As she completed her degree of veterinary medicine, she also completed the mixed animal acupuncture course at the Chi Institute in Reddick, FL. Originally, Dr. Cooley spoke with Dr. Garcia about acupuncture, but she began working at Bottletree Animal Hospital as a relief veterinarian and has now joined the hospital part-time. In her free time, she enjoys working out, riding her horse, taking her dogs for a walk, playing soccer, and crocheting. She has two dogs, three cats, and a horse.
