or Dr. Matt Duff, the greatest reward is seeing animals leave the hospital feeling better than when they arrived. He also enjoys the interaction with clients and their pets. Dr. Duff joined the RRAH team in 2011.Dr. Duff brings experience working with clients and their pets and has a special interest in pocket pets such as gerbils, hamsters, rats and ferrets. He also enjoys surgery, the more challenging internal medicine cases, and all aspects of preventative healthcare for pets.Becoming a veterinarian began when Dr. Duff was about 10 years old. Along the way, he developed an interest in human behavioral sciences, but then rediscovered his passion for animals in his 20s. He graduated with a degree in Psychology from Mankato State University and received his D.V.M from the University of Minnesota.Dr. Duff enjoys working at RRAH since the clinic offers state-of-the-art diagnostic tools and a variety of specialists for the care of pets. Perhaps more importantly, we have a culture of true compassion. Every team memberfrom doctors to support stafftruly cares about every pet, he said. Prevention and early detection of health problems makes a tremendous difference in length and quality of life.In his spare time, Dr. Duff enjoys building and flying radio controlled aircraft, hunting, shooting sports, automotive tinkering and restoration.He and his wife, Angela, have two daughters. Pets are also part of their family and include Fergus (a Llewellin Setter) and Gustov (a domestic shorthair cat). Dr. Duff says of his pets, No one can offer the kind of unconditional love that an animal can.
