Veterinarian Overview
Like any animal-care professional, Dr. Grace Meyer always adored animals. She also had an intense interest in science and medicine, and wanted to work in a challenging, dynamic, and rewarding career. Veterinary medicine was the perfect combination!Dr. Meyer grew up in Chaska, Minnesota and studied biology at the University of Minnesota Morris. After working in a small-animal hospital and a research laboratory for a few years, she was accepted into veterinary school at the University of Minnesota. Upon graduating, she completed a rotating small-animal internship in Denver, Colorado before arriving at Greenbrier Animal Hospital in late 2014.Internal medicine and emergency care are Dr. Meyers special interests within veterinary medicine. Shes also fond of routine check-ups, because she feels its when she can get to know clients and pets the best.Dr. Meyer lives with her fiancé, Mark, and their two ragdoll cats, Beaker and Bunsen. She also owns an 18-year-old American Saddlebred horse name Buzz who enjoys acting like a big naughty dog.Outside of work, Dr. Meyer loves to exercise and stay active. Shes an avid runner, and has completed two marathons and multiple shorter races. Dr. Meyer also enjoys biking, cross-country skiing, and competing in horse shows with Buzz.
