Veterinarian Overview
Dr. Tom Schuld joined Minnehaha Animal Hospital at the end of March 2008. After earning his MBA at the University of Minnesota and spending 13 years in the corporate world, he decided to pursue his passion by returning to the U of M and completed his veterinary training in 2002. Since that time, he has been in small animal practice in the Twin Cities area. Toms special veterinary interests include general medicine, dentistry and surgery including some orthopedic procedures.In 2013, Dr. Schuld traveled to Ecuador on a volunteer spay/neuter project with WorldVets. It was there that he met a little street dog who cuddled up beside him and quickly won his heart. That little dog, now named Chula, resides with Tom, his partner Sandra, a very sassy calico cat named Annabelle and a recently adopted orange tabby named Cecil the Lionhearted.When not at the hospital, Tom enjoys spending time with Sandra, with his daughter and, when they are back home, his two college-aged sons. He also enjoys doing volunteer work, home renovation, cooking, baking, biking, fishing or basically any outdoor activity.
