Veterinarian Overview
Dr. Lucas is joining us after practicing in a small animal hospital in Hagerstown, MD for the last 2 years. She received her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from The Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine. Prior to that, she graduated from Indiana University of Pennsylvania with a Bachelor of Science degree majoring in Biology with Chemistry minor. While her main professional interests are in small animal medicine and surgery, she is also passionate about using veterinary medicine to help increase food production in developing areas. She recently returned from her third trip to Africa after starting a goat project at an orphanage in Tanzania. In her spare time, she enjoys riding her horse,Sleepy and keeping her cats, Jack and Gracie entertained. She is very excited to get to know all of the clients and patients of YSVC.
