Veterinarian Overview
Dr. John Flynn has been practicing at Frederick Veterinary Center LLC for over 25 years. He received his D.V.M. degree from Ontario Veterinary College in Guelph, Ontario, Canada. Before coming to Frederick, Dr. Flynn was in rural mixed veterinary practice in Tranquility, New Jersey and then in Large Animal practice in Union Springs, Upstate New York. He is a member of the AVMA, Maryland VMA, American Animal Hospital Association, and Western Maryland VMA. His special interests in veterinary practice include the human-animal bond, preventive medicine, and veterinary public health issues. Dr. Flynn lives in Frederick with his wife Barbara and their cat Pushkin. After completing college, their daughters Jessica and Meredith live in Washington, D.C. and Jacksonville, Florida respectively. Dr. Flynn's outside interests include forestry, history, agriculture, environmental issues and reading. Frederick Veterinary Center LLC is an AAHA Accredited Veterinary Hospital and was the recipient of a 2014 Frederick County Waste Reduction and Recycling Award. A big fan of downtown Frederick and also of rural life in Frederick County, you may find him each year as a veterinary volunteer at the Great Frederick Fair Birthing Center.
