Veterinarian Overview
Dr. Daniel M. Core was born in New Orleans, Louisiana and raised in St. Tammany Parish. After high school, Dr. Core attended Louisiana Tech University in Ruston, Louisiana where he played football and where he earned a B.S. in Pre-Veterinary Medicine in 1977. He graduated from Louisiana State University School of Veterinary Medicine in 1981 and completed a small animal medicine and surgery internship at the Auburn School of Veterinary Medicine in 1982. In 1986, Dr. Core established Core Animal Hospital in Bossier City, Louisiana. He was honored by Whos Who in Veterinary Medicine in 1987-1988. He is also a consultant and relief Veterinarian for the Barksdale Air Force Base K-9 Patrol. Dr. Core has authored two papers and has contributed to a surgery text book.Dr. Core incorporated CO2 laser surgery into his practice in 2000. In addition to his veterinary practice, he lectures on CO2 laser surgery, laser therapy, and the Med Rx Videovet Scope. His laser lectures take him all over the United States, and his passion for his work and knowledge of laser surgery makes him one of the most popular laser lecturers in the country.When away from work, Dr. Core enjoys hunting and fishing. He has three sons and makes his home in Benton, Louisiana with his wife Laura.
