Veterinarian Overview
Dr.Russell Cain is a native of Jackson, Mississippi. He completed his undergraduate studies at Florida International University in Miami in 2000 and received his doctorate of veterinary medicine from Kansas State University in 2011. Following graduation, he went on to work for a high--volume, no--kill animal shelter in Kansas City. There he was able to hone his surgical skills as well as well as provide as second chance for many homeless, less-fortunate animals. Dr. Cain then moved into private practice with a premier small animal hospital located in Kansas City, MO. This opportunity enabled him to focus on internal as well as preventative medicine. Additionally, Dr. Cain has provided emergency and critical care for several area emergency and referral centers in Kansas City.Dr. Cain's particular interests lie in emergency medicine/critical care, surgery, internal medicine and pain management.
