Veterinarian Overview
Dr. Johanna Nimeth was born in Iowa City, IA and raised in Rock Island, IL. She graduated from the University of Illinois, College of Veterinary Medicine in 2010. Her interest in veterinary medicine began when she was a child and her pet hamster got sick. Seeing the veterinarians take care of her little hamster made her realize what she wanted to do for a living. Dr. Nimeth has over 5 years of experience working with exotic animals and avian species. She spent almost 2 years at the Clinic for the Rehabilitation of Wildlife in Sanibel, Florida and was the manager for the Wildlife Medical Clinic throughout veterinary school. When she is not working, she enjoys spending time with her family, which includes her husband, Frank, and son, Frankie, as well as her dog, three cats, snake, and geckos. In her spare time she enjoys cooking, playing classical guitar, and being outdoors.
