Veterinarian Overview
I have always wanted to be a veterinarian. Well, I did go through a phase where I wanted to be a cowgirl or school bus driver but I came back to my first love. I feel very fortunate to have my dream career every day. I love what I do and I treasure the relationships that I build with my patients and their people. Knowing the pets and their stories gives me a lot of joy. In fact, collecting the stories surrounding some of the pets names is my secret hobby. My practice philosophy has always revolved around treating people and their pets the way I want to be treatedwith kindness, compassion, and gentle honesty.I am a Terre Haute native and graduated from North High School before heading to Purdue University. I graduated from the School of Veterinary Medicine in 1998 and returned to my hometown to practice at an eastside veterinary clinic. I decided to start the 14th year of my career with the opening of Brown Veterinary Hospital. My new adventure has been exciting, exhausting and, Im not afraid to admit, more than a little terrifying. With all of that in consideration, it was one of the best leaps Ive ever made.My husband, Michael, and I are proud to raise our daughter, Olivia, in the Terre Haute community. I enjoyed crafting, sewing, and gardening BDbefore daughter. Now, I am generally just trying to catch up and recharge in my time off. Michael and I still enjoy visiting with our friends and having family time. Our extended family also consists of Gus, a three-legged wonder dog; Max, a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel; and more cats than I really want to admit. The pups are available daily at the clinic for meet and greetsthey are always happy to provide a cuddle and kiss to any client that needs a little puppy love
