Veterinarian Overview
Dr. Watkins is a 1990 graduate of Louisiana State University School of Veterinary Medicine. He and his wife, Margo, moved to Madison with their family in 1998, when he took ownership of the The Pets Doc Veterinary Clinic. Dr. Watkins is well respected by his staff and clients who know him to be kind and funny, knowledgeable, and a skilled doctor and surgeon. In addition to his veterinary practice, Dr. Watkins is also very involved in community activities. He has been Committee Chair for Madison Ribberfests Pigmania competition for 10 years and is on the River Roots committee. As a founding member of The Cultural Continuum of Madison, he is a great appreciator of live music and the arts. He has also served as President of the 9th District of the Indiana Veterinary Medical Association, and the Madison Area Chamber of Commerce and Economic Development. Dr. Watkins and his family have 4 dogs: Pinky Sue, a 5 year old Pit Bull, Garcon, a 4 year old Standard Poodle, both rescues as well as Gunnar and Lilly. They also share their home with 5 cats: Esmie, Wally, Blossom, Erabus and Bootz, and 4 parakeets and 2 cockatiels.
