Veterinarian Overview
Dr. Lyndsay Klemens DVM, cVSMT is a La Porte native and graduated from LPHS in 1997. She was active in 4-H and found the most enjoyment showing Dogs, Horse and Pony, and Rabbits. She began showing dogs at age 9 and received her first AKC title at age 12. After high school, she attended the University of Findlay (Findlay, OH) and graduated Magna Cum Laude as an Honors Scholars with a B.S. in Biology and Pre-Veterinary Medicine. She attended Vet School at Purdue University and after graduation returned home to work in a mixed animal practice with an emphasis in equine medicine. In 2008 she opened her own practice with a special interest in equine dentistry and chiropractic and small animal chiropractic medicine. She received her advanced certification in Veterinary Spinal Manipulative Therapy aka animal chiropractic from The Healing Oasis in 2008. Since then she has served as Senior faculty for that program as well as National University's animal chiropractic program. She is currently pursuing her certification in rehabilitative sports medicine. Lyndsay has served locally on La Porte County's Extension Board and Trail Creek Dog Training Club. She continues to teach basic manners and puppy classes at the La Porte Small Animal Shelter. She believes that every animal is an athlete and enjoys all animal sports. Her life is not complete unless she is holding a lead rope or leash.
