Veterinarian Overview
An Indiana native, Dr. Kristine Towns grew up in Newburgh. She attended Hanover College where she earned an undergraduate degree in Biology. She then went on to attend Purdue University for veterinary school. While gaining invaluable experience working in shelter medicine, Dr. Towns also lent her skills to VCA for the past several years as an on-call doctor, often covering our emergency shifts. She joined VCA West 86th Street as a full time doctor in early 2015. As a veterinarian, Dr. Towns interests include infectious disease, dentistry, and emergency medicine. In her spare time she enjoys running, sports and cooking. Her pets are Laverne and Shirley; a German Short-haired Pointer and an English Setter, as well as two guinea pigs, Phinneus and Ferb.
