Veterinarian Overview
Dr. Kristi Stanley is an Indiana native, born and raised in Peru, Indiana. She attended Western Kentucky University for her undergraduate training (where she also played collegiate volleyball). She then attended and received her DVM from Auburn University in 2007. After graduation from veterinary school, she returned to Indiana to complete a one-year rotating internship at VCA Veterinary Specialty Center here in Fishers. She then moved to Houston, Texas where she completed a 3 year Internal Medicine Residency at Gulf Coast Veterinary Specialists. Upon completion of her residency, Dr. Stanley found her way back to Indiana to join the Internal Medicine Department here at VCA AVCC. Dr. Stanley enjoys all aspects of Internal Medicine, but her special interests include endocrinology, auto-immune disease and respiratory disease. She is also trained and proficient in ultrasonography and endoscopy. Dr. Stanley is happy to claim Indiana as her home again. She and her husband Sam (also a veterinarian) enjoy spending time together and with their two children. Through the years, they have had the joy of loving many wonderful pets. Their house is currently under control of their three cats Derby, Dot and Johnny Ringo and their Labrador retriever, Henry.
