Veterinarian Overview
Dr. Carmichael graduated from the University of Illinois in 1974. He then went on to serve a one-year internship and a two-year residency at The Animal Medical Center in New York City. He became Board Certified in Internal Medicine from the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine in 1981. Dr. Carmichael has been with the practice since 1979 and became part owner in 1989. He is experienced in advanced diagnostics and treatment of medical problems, particularly those related to the heart/lungs, gastrointestinal tract, urinary system, endocrine diseases, blood disorders, and cancer. He is able to offer consultation services, endoscopy, ultrasonagraphy, rhinoscopy, chemotherapy, and soft tissue surgery to our clients, as well as referrals. As if the above were not enough, keeping busy is not a problem with Sadie, Golden Retriever, and rescued cat Ed. He also challenges himself by attempting to make music with a bagpipe.
