Veterinarian Overview
Dr. Jewell grew up about 45 miles southeast of Springfield, in Assumption, Il. Her family lived in the country, but not on a farm unless you count the many cats and dogs they had as a farm. She has wanted to be a veterinarian for as long as she can remember and got started by caring for and treating the many pets she had growing up. Dr. Jewell attended Central A & M High School and then earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Animal Sciences at the University of Illinois in Champaign-Urbana. She then spent 4 years in veterinary school there, Go ILLINI! Dr. Jewell has worked at a vet clinic since she was 16. She loves animals and their people! People and pets have such a special bond, and it is a privilege to be trusted with the care of a valued member of the family
