Veterinarian Overview
Dr. Rick DeCraene has been practicing veterinary medicine since 1990. He joined Wise Road Animal Hospital in 2000. A native of Iowa, Dr. DeCraene grew up in the Davenport area and attended Iowa State University where he majored in Microbiology and received his doctorate in Veterinary Medicine in 1990. In his free time, Dr. DeCraene enjoys photography, music and hiking National parks with his wife, three children and dog, "Buster". You can find "Buster" gracing the pages of our website. Dr. DeCraene is a member of The Society of Phi Zeta (the Honor Society of Veterinary Medicine), Omega Tau Sigma (professional veterinary fraternity), the American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA), the Illinois State Veterinary Medical Association (ISVMA), and the Chicagoland Veterinary Medical Association (CVMA).
