Veterinarian Overview
Dr. Pfeiffer has worked at Wise Road Animal Hospital since 2009. She grew up on the east coast in Rhode Island and New York before her family moved to Illinois then Indiana. Her undergraduate degree was obtained from Purdue University and her Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine from the University of Illinois in Champaign in 2005. Dr. Pfeiffer is an USDA/APHIS accredited Veterinarian. While she has owned dogs, cats, rabbits and other exotic pets, currently Dr. Pfeiffer has 2 cats, "Timmy" and "Ernst" who appear in our webpages. Dr. Pfeiffer understands that a happy pet is not only physically healthy but also mentally well-adjusted and socially well-behaved. Her interests include behavioral medicine and basic training. Dr. Pfeiffer is a member of the Chicago Veterinary Medical Association (CVMA), the Illinois State Veterinary Medical Association (ISVMA), the American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA) and the Association for Women Veterinarians (AWV). Dr. Pfeiffer and her husband enjoy spending as much time as possible with their son, Patrick.
