Veterinarian Overview
Dr. OBrien grew up in Des Plaines and started working in the veterinary field in high school. She graduated with her Bachelor of Science in Animal Science from the University of Illinois in 2002 and her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Ross University in 2006. She spent 6 years working at another hospital prior to joining Northlake Animal Hospital in 2013. She is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association and Chicago Veterinary Medical Association. She believes it is important to educate pet owners so that they can better understand their pets health and what to expect. Dr. OBrien currently has a Welsh Terrier, Chewie, who she adopted in 2013. When not working, she enjoys traveling, going to concerts, and spending time with family.
