Veterinarian Overview
We are so pleased for Dr. Tomasz Krystek to join Preiser Animal Hospital team in September 2015. He was born and spent his early life in Warsaw, Poland where in 2010 he acquired his veterinary degree from Warsaw University of life sciences. During his last semesters of his university and shortly after graduation he offered his time to help "Cat's Asylum" animal shelter. After long deliberation Dr. Krystek and wife Kasia decided to move to Norridge, Illinois, to be closer to her side of the family. Upon arrival, he was given an opportunity to work as a veterinary technician at Norwood Park Animal Hospital where he continued to collect medical experience. With help of its owner, Dr. Hammer, he gained a lot of confidence in using his academic knowledge, and also strengthened his technical skills. Through hard work and dedication in 2015, Dr. Krystek reached his goal and became a liscensed veterinarian in the United States. His medical interests include internal medicine, diagnostic imaging, surgery and postoperative rehabilitation and infectious diseases. In his free time, Dr. Krystek enjoys playing soccer (which he calls "football"), mountain biking, and skiing. When at home he loves cooking, watching movies with his wife and two cats "Rasputin" and "Tango" and cheering with his friends for his favorite teams: Legia Warszawa, Liverpool F.C. and Valencia CF. :) You will always be greeted by Dr. Krystek with a big smile
