Veterinarian Overview
Dr. Heather Johnson received her veterinary degree from the University of Illinois Urbana Champaign in 2004 after also doing her undergraduate work there. She has lived in the Northwest suburbs her whole life and practiced in the western suburbs before joining Mundelein Animal Hospital in 2014. She lives with her husband, Ryan, and daughter, Grace. They have 6 rescued pets: cats Spot, Alley, Louie, Sammy and Mozzie; a three legged dog named Ricky and 2 dwarf frogs named Mac & Cheese. She is passionate about animals and has known she wanted to be a veterinarian since childhood. Outside of work, Dr. Johnson enjoys spending time with family, traveling, boating, scuba diving and watching movies. She is a member of the AVMA.
