Veterinarian Overview
Dr. John Wiseman graduated from the University of Illinois College of Veterinary Medicine in June of 1970. He spent a year in a large animal practice in Atkinson, Illinois. In June of 1971, he started an internship at the Illinois Equine Hospital in Naperville, Illinois. In 1976, he and his partner, Jim Siegrist (now retired), purchased the ambulatory portion of the practice from the Illinois Equine Hospital. Both he and his wife, Candy, have a lifelong interest in horses. Currently they breed, raise and then sell and/or race Thoroughbred horses. They have three trail horses, Crook, a Missouri Foxtrotter, Canjondi, a retired Thoroughbred race horse and Goldie, a palomino Tennessee Walker.
