Veterinarian Overview
Emily Mitchell graduated from Purdue University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2019. She has had an interest in alternative medicine since first working with Dr. Olsen at the age of 16 and plans to pursue certification in veterinary acupuncture and animal chiropractic in the future. Dr. Mitchell practices small animal medicine and surgery with interests in soft tissue surgery, dentistry, orthopedics and physical therapy. She focuses on preventative medicine and improving the human-animal bond. She is certified in Fear Free Animal Care with a focus on creating a positive experience for all animals and clients visiting a veterinarian. Along with her love for all animals, Dr. Mitchell also enjoys yoga, running, and painting with watercolor and acrylics. She enjoys spending time with her husband and two cats, Stanley and Luna. She loves being outdoors and is an avid Chicago Bears fan.
