Veterinarian Overview
James Cellini, DVM, is a veterinarian residency trained in small animal Neurology at MedVet Chicago where he has been part of the neurology team since 2016. Dr. Cellini attended the Georgia Institute of Technology where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Applied Biology in 2005 followed by a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from the University of Georgia College of Veterinary Medicine in 2009. Upon completion of veterinary school, Dr. Cellini performed a yearlong small animal rotating internship, as well as yearlong internship in small animal neurology before spending two in private practice as an emergency clinician. Dr. Cellini then completed a three-year residency in small animal neurology and neurosurgery at The Animal Neurology and Imaging Center in Algodones, New Mexico.Dr. Cellini is the author of a scientific article on ĀEtiopathogenesis of seizures in young adult toy breed dogsĀ which is currently in press. He is an active advocate of continued education for veterinary professionals and has lectured on small animal neurology to both technicians and veterinarians.
