Veterinarian Overview
Dr. Sarah Lane is originally from Houston, Texas. She always knew she wanted to work with animals. After her family moved to Tennessee when she was in high school, she started pursuing an educational path geared toward veterinary medicine. She received a B.S. from Middle Tennessee State University and then went on to attend the University of Tennessee, where she earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine in 2008. After college, Dr. Lane moved to California where she worked at several different VCA practices. After eight years in the Golden State, her husbands job brought her back to Texas for two years. She was able to stay with VCA while in Texas and is thrilled to be able to continue with VCA now that her family has been relocated to Illinois. While the cold is taking some getting used to, her two small sons love the snow! While not working, she enjoys hiking, reading, live music, and fishing. Most of all she enjoys spending time with her family, including a beautiful Borzoi named Nixie, and two silly and adorable rescue cats named Cracker and Heidi. Her special professional interests include soft-tissue surgery, ultrasound, internal medicine, and building strong bonds between her patients and clients.
