Dr. Leathers attended the University of Georgia Veterinary Teaching College and graduated in 2006. He opened New Hope Animal Hospital in 2012 with his wife, Dr. Valerie Leathers, after practicing for 6 years in Carroll County Georgia. His favorite veterinary cases are dermatology, internal medicine, soft tissue surgery, and orthopedic surgery. He also contributes to Paulding County rescue groups and organizations.Dr. Leathers and his wife met in Athens and now live in Dallas with their three sons, which keep them busy! They have 2 dogs, a golden retriever and a Jack Russell terrier, and a feisty long hair cat named Tybee. Even though they are both UGA graduates and football fans, they are happy to see any pets that have other collegiate alliances! Clay is pictured with their 2 dogs, Jackson and Scott.
