Veterinarian Overview
Dr. Nelson has lived in Marietta for 25 years, graduated from McEachern High School in 1984 and received his B.S. in biology from Kennesaw State University in 1988. He received his D.V.M. from the University of Georgia College of Veterinary Medicine in 1992, where he graduated Magna Cum Laude and received the Awards for Exceptional Proficiency in both Small and Large Animal Medicine and Surgery. His hobbies include golf, playing guitar, astronomy, playing with his kids, and reading. Dr. Nelson is also a licensed Ham Radio operator (KM4HQM). His family includes his wife, Adrienne, four children: John, Sarah, Maria, & Jason. He has 3 dogs: Cherry, Stinky, and Miguel; 3 Cats: Valhalla, Angelica, and Olie; 2 horses: Hollywood & Quila, and a pony, Buttercup. The Nelson Family attends St. Joseph Catholic Church in Marietta. Dr. Nelsons interests in veterinary medicine include orthopedic and soft-tissue surgery, internal medicine, emergency medicine and ultrasound
