Veterinarian Overview
Dr. Rory Hekking grew up in the Washington D.C. suburb of McLean, Virginia. He attended Brigham Young University for his undergraduate degree and then moved back east to attend Virginia Tech for veterinary school He began working for Dr. Hiland in June 2014 and has worked at our sister hospitals Trickum Ridge and Allatoona since then. Starting April he will be the Medical Director of Etowah His areas of interest include dentistry and senior pet care. In his free time he loves spending time with his wife and toddler daughter. He also enjoys spending time outdoors, especially fishing and kayaking. He often goes on walks with his family and his Spaniel mix, Olive.
