Veterinarian Overview
Dr. Azalia Boyd joined VCA Peachtree Animal hospital after a rigorous several years in emergency veterinary medicine. She attended Tuskegee University receiving her Bachelor of Science degree in 2004, followed by Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in 2008. After completing her veterinary studies, Dr. Boyd completed an internship in a small animal medicine, emergency and surgery at Friendship Hospital for Animals in Washington , D.C. Realizing her true love for the south, Dr. Boyd returned to Atlanta to continue practiceOutside of work, Dr. Boyd enjoys spending time with family and friends, traveling, mentoring youth, camping/hiking and billiards. Her favorite hiking trails are out in Denali Park, Alaska!My why...From a very young age, I was told of my nurturing personality and care for the welfare of the world(all species included). Every day, as a veterinarian, I have the opportunity to touch a very small part of the world and make a difference. The importance of my position extends outside of the clinic setting, but affects the lives and happiness of people, pets, and the individual relationships with each other
