Veterinarian Overview
Dr. Austel has been a veterinarian for 24 years, 18 of which were dedicated to dermatology. She spent 20 years in academia in Europe and the USA and trained many generations of future veterinarians. She received her specialty training in dermatology at the University of Georgia (UGA) and subsequently became a Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Dermatology. Dr. Austel has given numerous lectures and continuing education presentations at the state, national and international level. After several years in private specialty clinics in Massachusetts and Virginia, North Georgia Veterinary Specialists became her professional home in 2013. She is the proud parent of six adopted furry children. Half of the crew are dogs, the other half are cats
.and two of them have severe allergies. -
