Veterinarian Overview
Dr. Larive was born and raised in southern Louisiana. She decided that she wanted to be a veterinarian when she was 7 years old and never looked back. Dr. Larive attended Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge, LA, where she received a Bachelor of Science degree in Animal, Dairy, and Poultry Sciences in 2013. She then attended the LSU School of Veterinary Medicine where she focused on Shelter Medicine and graduated with her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in May 2016. Dr. Larive moved to Florida the day after graduation to begin working at the SPCA Clinic. Her primary interests include surgery, preventative medicine, and raising infant kittens. Outside of work, Dr. Larive enjoys reading, visiting the theme parks of Orlando, and spending time with her cats, Asher and Dottie. She makes frequent trips home to Louisiana to visit family and enjoy Cajun cuisine. Dr. Larive also loves sports and is an avid LSU Tigers and New Orleans Saints fan
