Veterinarian Overview
Dr. Carl Jehn grew up in Wisconsin and graduated from the University of Wisconsin School of Veterinary Medicine in 2002. After veterinary school Dr. Jehn completed a one year rotating internship at the University of Georgia, followed by a three year surgical residency at the University of Florida. While completing his surgical residency, Dr. Jehn also attended graduate school at the University of Florida and concurrently obtained a Masters Degree in Veterinary Science. As a veterinary surgeon, Dr. Jehn has received advanced training in the fields of knee surgery, fracture fixation, minimally invasive orthopedic surgery, cancer related surgery, negative pressure therapy for septic abdomens, arthroscopy and laparoscopic surgery, gastrointestinal surgery, spinal surgery, vacuum assisted closure, wound management and reconstructive surgeryIn addition to his clinical training, Dr. Jehn has published numerous articles in peer reviewed veterinary journals on the topics of hip surgery, wound care, liver surgery, NSAID therapy, critical care, limb sparing surgery and cancer treatment as well as presented research to specialists and veterinarians at regional and national conferences. Dr. Jehn has been in practice in South Florida for the past eight years and has recently moved with his family to Tallahassee. Dr. Jehn enjoys spending time with his wife (a Seminole who graduated from Florida State in 2001), their two children and many pets. He also enjoys the outdoors including fishing, skiing and diving
