Dr. Giavondo was on duty at Pet Emergency of Martin County on Tuesday, July 11th when we brought in our sweet cat, Mowgli, who was in respiratory distress. We were greeted by a very pleasant tech who took Mowgli in for an initial exam. Dr. Giavondo came out shortly after and explained clearly what he was seeing. He explained that he’d need to do X-rays and told us what the cost would be. We agreed and 20 minutes later the doctor showed us the X-rays and clearly laid out the options available to us. None of the outcomes were good so we sadly decided on euthanasia. We wanted to stop his suffering. Dr. Giavondo was so gentle and kind with us and our precious kitty. He and the staff made a nightmare situation bearable and as comfortable as possible. I wish he could be our regular vet or better yet, be our primary care doc.
