Veterinarian Overview
Dr. DiTrapani-Gimbal received her Bachelors in Animal Science from the University of Florida. In 2001, she began at the Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine. After attending Virginia Tech for her clinical studies, she started working in Rochester, NY before moving to Port St. Lucie. In 2009, with her husband Dr. Nathan Gimbal, she purchased Animal Planet and Morningside Animal Hospital, where she is now the Owner.As a veterinarian, Dr. DiTrapani-Gimbal likes treating geriatrics because she truly believes that age is not a disease and older patients shouldnt be written off without hope. She has a special place in her heart for animals with no one to advocate for them, like feral and homeless cats. She also enjoys treating small mammals like rats, guinea pigs, and rabbits.Jennifer lives with her husband Nathan and their three children, Allison, Erin, and Claire. The family has several rescued pets: Madison, a 12-year-old island dog from Saint Kitts; Alphie, a Chihauhua discovered roaming around a clients pool area; Monty, a 4-year old domestic shorthaired cat discovered snoozing at the kids preschool; and Frank, a 13-year old island cat in remission from diabetes. They also have a guinea pig named Princess T.In her spare time, Dr. DiTrapani-Gimbal enjoys horseback riding, yoga, and organic/natural living.
