Veterinarian Overview
Dr. Jim Smith, D.V.M. has been employed as an Associate Veterinarian at Park Animal Hospital since 2004. Dr. Smith graduated from Auburn University in 1965 with a degree in Veterinary Medicine. He has been practicing Veterinary Medicine for 42 years and owned two practices of his own for 31 of those years. He sold both of his practices, Central Animal Hospital East and Central Animal Hospital West, in 1998. Since then, Dr. Smith has been working as a Relief Veterinarian at several animal hospitals in Pinellas County. As a veterinarian, he most enjoys performing surgeries. Dr. Smith has been an auxiliary for the Florida Highway Patrol for the past 36 years and enjoys scuba diving and spending time with his wife, children and grandchildren.
