Veterinarian Overview
Dr. Michael Pegelow was born in Pasadena, California, but has lived in Florida since 1984. He completed his undergraduate studies from University of Florida in 1999 with a Bachelor's degree in Zoology with honors. He obtained his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree in 2004 from the University of Florida College of Veterinary Medicine. Dr. Pegelow most enjoys veterinary dermatology, dentistry, and internal medicine. Dr. Pegelow has been working as a veterinarian at Dixie Animal Hospital since 2004. He also worked at Dixie Animal Hospital as a veterinary technician prior to graduating from college and becoming a veterinarian. When Dr. Pegelow is not caring for animals at the hospital he enjoys spending as much time as possible with his wife, daughter, and son. Dr. Pegelow currently has three adopted cats that are part of his extended family. Dr. Pegelow is in charge of the adoption program at Dixie Animal Hospital http://www.petfinder.com/shelters/FL866.html which has found homes for more than 100 cats and several dogs over the last 9 years!
