Veterinarian Overview
Dr. Whitney graduated from the University of Florida College of Veterinary Medicine with honors in 1995. In 1997 she married Dr. Charley and joined the Animal Medical Center of Lehigh Acres, where she practiced for two years. She transferred to Viscaya-Prado Veterinary Hospital in Cape Coral in late 1999. By 2001, Dr Whitney had returned to the AMC, and in June 2003, she and Dr. Charley purchased the AMC from Drs. Larry and Beth Murphy. Dr. Whitney's special interests include critical care and internal medicine, dentistry and pain management. She enjoys running and spending time with her family- 8 dogs, 4 cats and 2 horses. You can see Dr. Whitney on the "Pet Connection" every Tuesday at about 8:20 am on Wink TV (WXCW, Channel 46). She answers questions from callers and brings in a dog or cat from the Gulfcoast Humane Society looking for a home.
