Veterinarian Overview
Dr. Kalen Faber graduated from North Carolina State University, College of Veterinary Medicine in May 2003. After moving to St. Petersburg, Florida, she was an associate veterinarian at Central Animal Hospital for 10 years. For the past few years she has been working for other veterinarians when they cannot be in their offices, working in spay/neuter clinics, and running a house-call practice devoted to cats. She has always had a strong interest in feline medicine and constantly alludes to an accurate statement that she learned in vet school, Cats are not small dogs. In March 2016, she purchased All Cats Hospital and has been caring exclusively for cats ever since. She lives in Seminole with her husband, Peter, and their three cats; Zack, Mojo and Florence. Her interests, other than animals, include sports and listening to music. She loves to watch the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Rays. She also enjoys scuba diving, bowling and golfing. Her community contributions include membership in the Northeast Exchange Club (NEX), a service club whose national mission is the prevention of child abuse. She helps organize and staff Ribfest, the NEX fundraiser that has donated over 3.5 million to local childrens charities. She was a member of the 1,000 Bitches at SPCA Tampa Bay for 2 years. She also performed surgeries monthly at Spay Day, an all volunteer trap-neuter-release (TNR) project for feral cats in Tampa for 10 years.
